Hi! I lived in Victoria Street in 1964 for a while, used to do Surf City, Piccolo etc, then later worked the Kings Cross Flea Market leather stall and Frank's Cafe in Potts Point. - after Frank's Cafe etc I went back to finish my degree ('74) - I'm so glad I did. In fact I'm thinking of doing a Master's now if I can clear some time and sort out health issues.
The '60s notes is a great site -- you're doing a really good thing, collecting those memories, yarns, bits of info, pictures and so on. It evokes and preserves a whole world that would otherwise fade and disappear totally. And it's too colourful and interesting to be allowed to disappear, dammit! I must get back to Tales of the Royal George one of these days! Oh, PS -- I don't mind if you use my real name on your blog -- if anyone's interested! I was known for a while as 'Ear-ring Paul' too. Why? Because I was the first bloke in that particular scene to get his ear pierced and wear one. Cheers paul Here's my blog: Tales of the Royal George
